Key Team Members

CEO/President: Jennifer Wang

JenniferWang (WangWang) has been actively involved in trading ferrous, non-ferrous, minor and precious metals since early 2005. Her first position in the base metal industry was for a reputable Hunan Province, China based Zinc – Silver – lead mining and production facility manager. Jennifer was also formerly the China Operation Manager for NASDAQ listed company that wholly owned the International Magnesium Group (IMG). At that time IMG was one of the world’s largest producers of Pure Magnesium & Magnesium Alloys, with facilities located in Baotou, Inner Mongolia, and Shaanxi Province, Taiyuan City, China. From 2014 until early 2019 Jennifer served as the China Operations manager for Republic Metals Corporation (“RMC”) which is now a part of the Japanese conglomerate ASAHI Refining. During her tenure at RMC the refinery became the first refiner in history to achieve SGE good delivery status, as well as COMEX, LBMA and RJC accreditation. Jennifer was responsible for increasing the refiner’s profitability by sourcing refinery consumables such as Sodium Formate and Plastics at 30-40% less than locally purchased materials in the United States.
Furthermore in 2009-2014 the team Jennifer’s team were responsible for the first exports in history of Iron Ore from the country of Bolivia, which was imported into China. She also imported and traded multiple primary and secondary base metal and ferrous products into the Greater China market including a prominent Copper smelter located in Zhengzhou, Henan Province, China.
To leverage her expertise and experience, she started her own business in Dubai, UAE with CRATUS LLC (“the Company”) to do trading into Metals & energy products, and has been doing steadily well. Graduated at Business Vocational College and Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, she is fluent in English, Chinese and German.

COO: Cesar Luis Ruiz

Cesar Luis Ruiz (“Luis”) has an expansive resume from working and managing operations for Fixed Income, Foreign Currency and Commodities at some of the most respected Wall Street financial institutions.

Luis embarked on his career at JP Morgan’s Corporate High Yield desk in New York on the High Yield Bond issuances and leveraged loan syndication desk, engaging with some of the largest corporates in the United States.

Luis was subsequently recruited by Goldman Sachs’ Foreign Currency (FX) platform in Princeton, New Jersey. At Goldman Sachs, Luis was involved in the operations team covering FX, FX Options and Commodities. He was instrumental in ensuring the processes, reporting and risk management of the firm’s commodity book. Luis graduated from New York University, and fluent in Spanish, French and manages well communicating Italian too and resides in Dubai.

CFO: Bhavik Patel

Bhavik began his career training as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG in London. Post qualification, he joined the ratings team at RBS to focus on the Energy and Natural Resources sector.

He was asked to establish a ratings team in the US business to support the growth of the banking business. He was promoted to Managing Director and asked to lead the larger Portfolio Management team, guiding the $100Bn banking book safely through the financial crisis.

Thereafter, he was asked to help wind down the banking book once the US banking business was closed, and he relocated back to the UK to run the debt product management team at NatWest. Here he helped the business remediate significant risks and digitize the business banking business.

After leaving RBS, Bhavik relocated to Dubai to work for a commodity trading firm as the Chief Accountant before assuming the CFO role at Cratus.

Bhavik has a BSc in Management Sciences from UMIST (Manchester), and an Executive MBA from Harvard University.
